The Story Of Hokulea, Exhibit and Lecture with Nainoa Thompson

Executive Director of the Polynesian Voyaging Society (PVS) Nainoa Thompson, will be having a lecture of the Voyaging Canoe Hokulea. The Hokulea means the Star Of Gladness Its first long sail took place in 1980 from Hawai`i to Tahiti and back. Nainoa has learned and taught the tradition of navigating without instruments across the pacific. This tradition was called wayfinding. Come meet and learn more about his pacific voyaging and adventures.
