Kauai Mountain Tubing

Are you ready to explore Kauai in a very unique way, that is refreshing and exciting at the same time?  This unique activity gives you a chance to travel back in time to the sugar plantation era.  In 1870 there were a series of irrigation ditches, tunnels and flumes hand dug to deliver water from the rain forest to thirsty sugar cane fields near Lihue.  The land is privately owned and has never before been accessible to the public.

You will be wearing your favorite accessories – helmet, gloves and a head lamp as you sit back and relax and float down the channel. The water is typically knee deep, and the current moves you along fast enough that no paddling is required.  At the end, you stop at a natural swimming hole where you are treated to a picnic lunch!  The trip is about 3 hours including lunch and the travel time to and from the flume.

These tours fill up fast so be sure to schedule as far in advance as possible for this memorable time:
