Fish Tacos…and Wraps and Burritos and More

The Islander shops are situated on the Islander on the Beach properties where we have our affordable luxury Kauai vacation rental condos.  Trees Lounge is open at night for martinis, pupus, and live music, but we were lacking a local lunch option.  Luckily for us and our guests, Kilauea Fish Market opened a shop here and they offer lunch and dinner.

We started hearing from guests about a fabulous Andy Iron’s Burrito (fish or tofu, Mexican spices, sundried tomato tortilla, pinto beans, salsa, brown rice, etc).  Our guests are correct — it is a fabulous large burrito, big enough for a light lunch for 2 people.

Another menu offering is the Fish or Tofu Wrap, which the Kilauea Fish Market folks tell us is their No. 1 seller AND was featured in the Food  Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate program.

We love to pick up something and take back to our lanais, open a bottle of wine (or with Mexican food, gotta have an icy cold beer), and enjoy our tacos and burritos and wraps while listening to the waves roaring ashore.

The Fish Market sells fish for grilling at the pool (along with marinades to make dinner very easy for you), and has a wide range of salads, too.  Can’t miss with the shrimp cocktail! You can eat in the Market or take away.  The nice folks at the Fish Market encourage you to BYOB (wine or beer) and will even provided glasses and openers for you.

This eatery is a great addition to our Islander family and offers our guests yet another great and convenient dining option. So, come, stay with us!  You can book our condos directly: www.hulanow.com or 1 855 HULA NOW.

Hope to greet you soon!

Wishing you warm Aloha….
