The Best of Kaua’i From A to Z

Actually, the Hawaiian alphabet does not contain a “Z”, consisting of only a, e, i, o, u, h, k, l, m, n, p, and w.  Nevertheless, with a bit of creativity, we have come up with our first list of must-see/must-do spots and activities on Kaua’i:

Anini Beach for puka shell collecting

Beaches, any one of the 60 or so on island

Captain Andy’s Catamarans

Dinner at Hukilau Lani

Eggbert’s in the Coconut Market Place for huge breakfast pancakes

Fern Grotto for history, music, and photo op

Gaylord’s for lunch and tour of plantation house

Honu, our sea turtles, basking on the shores or swimming along with us

Ice cream at Lappert’s

Juices, freshly made, from the wonderful fruits at any farmer’s market

Koloa Town for its history

Luau at Smith Family

McBryde Garden with the world’s largest collection of native Hawaiian flora

Napali coast, to watch the sunset

Opaeka Falls for wonder and beauty

Poi, yes, it is that good

Queen’s bath on North Shore

Red dirt of Kaua’i

Spouting Horn

Tubing down mountain flumes

Unscheduled downtime with no deadlines or agenda
