Kauai Hosts Hula Conference — Our Kauai Condos Offer Ideal Accommodations

hula

We love hula!  For those of you not familiar with hula, you may not realize the full range of the art form.  Hula is more than women in grass skirts swaying their hips.  Hula can be that, but it is also deeply traditional, reverent, playful, and breathtaking — for both the dancers and the audience. We love hula and want you to learn more about it.

Kaua’i is honored to be the site of the Fourth World Hula Conference, Ka Aha Hula o Halauaola 2014, running July 10 to July 18, 2014 at Kaua’i Community College in Lihue.  Participants from all over the world will be attending this conference and we think you should join them.  Not only hula, but workshops on hula adornments, including Ni’ihau shell ones, will be offered.  Learn to make cloth (kapa) from fibers to finished product, or a knee drum (puniu).

We do have accommodations available at several of our rental condos for this time period, sleeping 2 to 4 people in 2 full, 1 queen, or 1 king bed (depends on condo).  Our condos at Kapaa Sands, No. 7 and No. 9, have full kitchens.  We are close to Lihue, making it easy to get to the Ka Aha Hula o Halauaola venue quickly.

You can view our Kauai vacation rental condos, and book safely and securely on line (we have real-time booking) at our website (www.hulanow.com).  We look forward to welcoming you and showing you warm Aloha!
