Lights on Rice — A Kauai Tradition Our Vacation Guests Return For

IS-Christmas-Lights

Lights at County Building, Lihue, Kauai

Lights on Rice is a Kauai tradition and many seasoned Kauai vacationers plan to be on island for the event.  Lights on Rice, a Rotary Club of Kauai event, kicks off the Christmas season in the Lihue area.  The parade starts at 6:30 PM and winds its way from Hoolako Street (Ace Hardware for those who know the area), along Rice Street, down to the County Building in Lihue.  Lights on Rice is one of those events you must see.  This year, the organizers predict  60 groups/floats with more than 2000 participants.  Shorts, swim trunks, flip flops, and Santa hats!  Not anything you would see in Minnesota!

While the parade is the kick-off event, the County Building and grounds will be decorated, all aglow, and open for night visitors Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6PM to 9 PM.

It is not too late to come to Kauai for this parade on Friday, December 5, 2014.  We have a few beautiful vacation rental condos available and are offering 15% off the room rate for stays until December 22, 2014.  Use the special pricing code of LIGHTS2014 at check out.  See all our Kauai vacation rentals at www.hulanow.com.

Mele Kalikimaka!  We wish you warm Aloha!
