Winter is Not the Only Time to Visit Kauai. Much to do in March and April!

Richest fossil site in Hawaiian islands is Kauai’s Makauwahi Cave. You can tour during Prince Kuhio Days.

Maybe you really planned on Christmas or Valentine’s Day on Kauai this year but plans went astray.  There is always next winter, but why not visit Kauai in March or April?

If you live in some areas of the mainland, snow and cold will still hold sway those months and you will more than enjoy  a warm beach, sunlight all around, listening to the surf.  If you are lucky, a few whales may still be breaching and tail flapping out in the channel.  Our 60 beaches will be open, as will our hiking trails, farmers’ markets, craft shows and fairs.  Our farm-to-table cuisine will be amazing, as always.

A few popular events on Kauai for March and April 2015 include:

Prince Kuhio DaysPrince Kuhio’s birthday is an official state holiday for Hawaii.  We celebrate for 2 weeks, with special events March 14 to March 28.  Tour a cave, learn how to make salt, or learn native Hawaiian handicrafts.  March is one of the best months to be on island if you want to immerse yourself in Hawaiian culture.

Grove Farm Old Time Games — Saturday, March 28, attend a fundraiser in Lihue for the Grove Farm.  Play old-fashion games (like great grandparents did in the 1800s and early 1900s).  Potato sack race, anyone?

American Cancer Society Race — Relay for Life on Saturday, April 25.  Come and enjoy lots of live entertainment, snacks, dinner, and camaraderie.

Come to Kauai!  Please visit our website www.hulanow.com to view all our wonderful Kauai vacation rental properties that sleep 1, 2, 3, or 4 people in 2 full beds, queen beds, or king beds.
